Delete your ReciPeel account
You can permanently delete your ReciPeel account and associated data at any time. Requests are processed within 30 days.
Option 1 — delete from inside the app
- Open ReciPeel on your phone.
- Tap Me (bottom nav) → scroll to Account.
- Tap Settings → Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is queued for deletion immediately.
You'll be signed out and the app resets to the onboarding screen.
Option 2 — email us
Send an email from the address registered to your ReciPeel account:
Include any additional email addresses you've used with the account. We'll confirm deletion by reply within 5 business days.
What gets deleted

| Meal plans, pantry, cook history, cook logs | Deleted within 30 days |
| Photos you uploaded (recipe photos, fridge scans) | Deleted within 30 days |
| AI chat transcripts with Henri | Deleted within 30 days |
| Push notification tokens (FCM) | Deleted immediately |
| Household memberships you were part of | Removed immediately (shared recipes stay with the household) |
| Payment / subscription records | Retained for tax and accounting purposes as required by law (typically 7 years). No PII beyond transaction ID. |
| Anonymized, aggregated usage analytics | Retained (cannot be linked back to you) |
Before you delete
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
If you just want to stop your subscription, you can cancel it without deleting your account:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → ReciPeel → Cancel
- Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → ReciPeel → Cancel
If you want to export your recipes first, use Me → Import & Export → Export all in the app.
