These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Recipeel application and website (the "Service") operated by KettleOps ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Recipeel, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Account Registration and Responsibility
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at support@kettleops.space if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- You may not create multiple accounts for abusive purposes or to circumvent restrictions.
3. Subscription Tiers and Billing
Recipeel offers the following subscription tiers:
Free Tier
- Store up to 50 recipes
- Basic recipe import (URL, text)
- Basic meal planning
- Standard grocery list generation
Premium Tier
- Unlimited recipes
- All import methods (URL, video, photo, voice, text)
- AI Chef conversational assistant
- Advanced meal planning with nutrition info
- Smart grocery lists with store aisle mapping
- Recipe scaling and unit conversion
- Export in all formats (JSON, CSV, PDF)
Family Tier
- Everything in Premium
- Up to 6 family members
- Shared cookbooks and meal plans
- Collaborative grocery lists
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation are governed by the respective store's terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
4. User Content
Your recipes belong to you. You retain full ownership of all recipes, cookbooks, notes, and other content you create or upload to Recipeel.
- By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, display, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service to you.
- We do not claim ownership over your content.
- We will not sell, share, or use your recipes for purposes other than providing the Service without your explicit consent.
- You may export or delete your content at any time.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from the Recipeel service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application.
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or illegal content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the Service without our written permission.
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service.
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
- Upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.
6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
- Always verify ingredient lists and quantities, especially for allergy-sensitive ingredients.
- AI-generated cooking times and temperatures are estimates and should be verified.
- The AI Chef provides suggestions, not professional dietary or medical advice.
- We are not liable for adverse reactions, injuries, or damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated recipe content.
- If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, always cross-check AI-generated recipes with trusted sources.
7. Third-Party Content
Recipeel allows you to import recipes from external websites, videos, and other sources. Regarding imported content:
- Imported recipes remain the intellectual property of their original creators.
- We import content for your personal, non-commercial use only.
- You are responsible for ensuring your use of imported content complies with applicable copyright laws.
- If you are a content creator and believe your content has been imported in violation of your rights, contact us at support@kettleops.space.
8. Intellectual Property
The Recipeel application, website, brand name, logo, mascot, user interface designs, and all associated intellectual property are owned by KettleOps. You may not:
- Use our brand, logo, or mascot without written permission.
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on our application.
- Use our trademarks in any way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without authorization.
9. Termination
By Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service.
- Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior.
- Use the Service in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure.
We will provide notice before termination when reasonably possible, except in cases of severe or repeated violations.
By You
You may delete your account at any time through the app: go to Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account. Upon deletion:
- All your personal data, recipes, and content will be permanently removed within 30 days.
- Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for any loss of data, recipes, or content, although we make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain backups.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KettleOps, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state where KettleOps is registered. Any disputes will be resolved through the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
