Recipeel supports multiple import methods:

• URL: Paste any recipe website link and we'll extract the recipe automatically.
• Video: Share a cooking video (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reel) and our AI will extract the recipe from it.
• Photo: Take a photo of a recipe from a cookbook or handwritten card and we'll digitize it.
• Voice: Dictate a recipe hands-free and our AI will structure it for you.
• Text: Paste or type raw recipe text and we'll parse it into a structured format.

Go to the Import tab (+ button) on the home screen to get started.

Instagram limits access to content from private accounts and sometimes restricts automated access to public posts. If you're having trouble:

• Make sure the account is public, not private.
• Try saving the Reel to your device first, then import the saved video directly.
• Copy the recipe text from the caption and paste it using the text import method.
• Some Instagram recipes are also posted on the creator's blog — try importing from the blog URL instead.

Open any recipe and tap the Share button in the top-right corner. You can:

• Share Link: Generate a shareable link that anyone can open in their browser or Recipeel app.
• QR Code: Display a QR code that others can scan to instantly add the recipe to their collection.

Shared recipes include all ingredients, instructions, and photos.

Yes! Recipeel supports full data portability. Go to Settings > Export Data and choose your format:

• JSON: Machine-readable format, great for backups or importing into other apps.
• CSV: Spreadsheet-compatible format for viewing in Excel or Google Sheets.
• PDF: Beautifully formatted recipe cards, perfect for printing.

You can export individual recipes, entire cookbooks, or your full collection.

The AI Chef is your personal cooking assistant powered by OpenAI. It knows your saved recipes, dietary preferences, and cooking history, so it can:

• Suggest recipes based on ingredients you have on hand.
• Adapt recipes to your dietary needs (gluten-free, vegan, etc.).
• Answer cooking questions ("How do I temper chocolate?").
• Help you plan meals for the week.
• Suggest substitutions for missing ingredients.

The AI Chef is available on Premium and Family plans. Open it from the chat icon on the home screen.

Absolutely. We take data security seriously:

• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
• Data is stored on EU servers (AWS eu-west-1, Ireland).
• We are fully GDPR compliant — you can access, export, or delete your data at any time.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We use no advertising trackers or marketing cookies.

You can manage your subscription from within the app:

• Go to Settings > Subscription.
• Tap Manage Subscription to open your Apple App Store or Google Play Store subscription settings.
• Cancel or change your plan from there.

Your Premium features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. Your recipes and data are never deleted when you downgrade — you just won't be able to add new ones beyond the free tier limit.

To permanently delete your account and all associated data:

• Go to Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account.
• Confirm the deletion when prompted.
• All your recipes, cookbooks, meal plans, and personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

This action cannot be undone. Make sure to export your recipes first if you want to keep a backup. If you have an active subscription, remember to cancel it separately through the App Store or Play Store.

Cook Mode gives you a distraction-free, step-by-step cooking experience:

• Your screen stays awake so you don't have to keep tapping it with messy hands.
• Each step is displayed in large, easy-to-read text.
• Swipe or tap to move between steps.
• Built-in timers for steps that need them.
• Ingredient list is always accessible from the side panel.

Open any recipe and tap the Cook button to enter Cook Mode.

The app interface is currently available in English. However, our AI-powered import can parse recipes written in most major languages and will translate them to English automatically. We are working on adding more interface languages in future updates.
